Position Summary: Ensure that all plant facilities and equipment are maintained in a safe, efficient and reliable condition through a program of preventative maintenance. Perform these duties in accordance with established regulatory and company policies, procedures, and practices. Position Responsibilities: 1. Trouble shoot and repair production equipment to its original working condition state. This is a skilled craft and work must be performed accordingly. 2. Ensure that all equipment is expediently repaired in order to minimize downtime and improve the overall operating efficiency of the plant. 3. Ensure all equipment is inspected, correctly adjusted, lubricated, and maintained in accordance with the Preventative Maintenance program. 4. Monitor and control in a safe and efficient manner all building services and related utilities (boiler room, compressor room, HVAC, waste treatment, etc.) 5. Performs equipment installations, removals and modifications as directed by management. 6. Perform craft skills appropriate with the job such as machine repair, welding, electrical wiring, hydraulic and pneumatic troubleshooting, etc. Familiarity with a full range of shop equipment and hand tools. 7. Ability to work from detailed drawings, prints and schematics. Use of measuring instruments, micrometers and various meters, etc. 8. Must be competent at an intermediate computer skill level in completing required actions in CMMS and Microsoft Office. 9. In accordance with the contract, depending upon operational requirements, the employee may be expected to work more than eight (8) hours per day or forty (40) hours in a given work week. 10. The incumbent is required to have their own basic hand tools. Details will be provided on what is required. 11. Performs all other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Qualifications: 1. High school graduate or GED certificate required. 2. Three to five consecutive years of industrial maintenance experience in a mechanic craft strongly preferred. 3. Technical / Trade School training in an industrial, mechanical, and/or electrical craft preferred. 4. Three-phased, 480 electrical background is preferred. 5. Intermediate level computer skills required in completing actions in CMSS and Microsoft Office. 6. Excellent verbal and written communication skills required. 7. Experience in a food manufacturing environment preferred.
