Job Summary: The Lead Operator assists Production Supervisor and Assistant Production Supervisor with production. Will work directly with production staff by assisting with breaks and changeovers. Will perform additional duties as instructed by Production Supervisor. Duties and Responsibilities:1.Will input production in computer.2.Wraps and weight all production skids.3.Weighs scrap and inputs in computer.4.Will assist with breaks, changeovers and screen changes.5.Works with production staff to ensure lines run without any issues.6.Executes and enforces safety policies and procedures.7.Works with production staff to ensure the quality of the product.8.Communicates with Maintenance Supervisor about equipment problems.9.Will perform other labor functions as needed.10.Operate forklift safely11.May perform other duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills and Experience: Previous experience in a manufacturing environment preferred. Able to effectively communicate. Ability to keep up in a fast pace environment. Physical Requirements and Work Environment Manufacturing work environment. Constant physical activities are required for this position. Such activities include: ability to reach over head, squat, and bend at the waist; the ability to lift boxes of 60 lbs or more; ability to climb up and down stairs throughout a 12 hour shift; tolerance of standing posture continuously for 12 hours; intense walking is involved; able to tolerate working environment with inside excessive hot and cold temperatures.
