Desired Skills/Duties: Mechanical Assembler We are looking for a dynamic, motivated mechanical assembler to join our production team. Right candidates will have some prior experience in assembly and working with tools. Job Description In this position, assemblers will work using their skills and tools to build and assemble electrical equipment. Mechanical Assemblers will read blueprints to verify the parts required to assemble the electrical equipment are readily available. The assemblers also double-check components to ensure they match the material lists and engineering drawings. Basic Requirements Must have substantial familiarity with mechanical, electro-mechanical, cable, and/or electronic manufacturing Have the ability to complete assigned tasks accurately and within the time frame allowed. Must be self-motivated and flexible to work well under tight schedules in a fast paced team environment. Comfortable with the safe use of hand tools and power tools for cutting, drilling, punching, grinding, torqueing and fastening. Maintain good housekeeping in work area. Have the ability to lift a minimum of 25 pounds Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED. Possess a strong safety ethic. Possess a strong attention to detail. Perform work in a neat and orderly fashion as per specifications and standards that may be unique to SPS Job Functions Verify components with the bill of materials to ensure accuracy. Install electrical components per assembly drawings. Wear appropriate safety gear at all times. Maintain control of the tools provided to you and ensure that your company issued tool box is inventoried daily and locked up when not in use. Maintain a high attention to detail and strive for a Zero Error Build . Can lift a minimum of 25lbs. Positive attitude & Willingness to learn. Has good understanding of hand and power tools. Knows how to read a tape measure. Takes direction from project leader on assembling products, following procedures, and meeting production goals. Follows standard assembly procedures, performs rework, and repair if needed. Knows how to operate equipment, able to make proper alignments and repairs to products.
