Must have a minimum of 5 years of related experience in public relations, staff training, marketing, grant development & volunteer coordinating. Experience with word processing, database, spreadsheet, desk top publishing, Power Point and digital computer equipment preferred. Must hold and maintain a current valid driver s license. Must maintain insurability with automobile insurance carriers. Must be able to work flexible hours and be available for weekend and/or evening hours as needed Please Note: Wage range is $40,000.00 to $50,000.00 per year, based on experience, education, skills & abilities. Summary of Position: Under direct supervision of the Superintendent: manages all activities to strengthen relations with stakeholders of the Tuscarawas County Board of Developmental Disabilities to include private providers, families and guardians of individuals served by TuscBDD; manages the community relations activities and special projects for the Board including chairing the Public Relations Committee, coordinating levy campaigns, overseeing all Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month activities, serving as agency spokesperson for all media contacts, developing press releases, developing a functional speakers bureau, chairing Grant Committee to administer the preparation and processing of grant applications, developing agency brochure and related informational materials for the Board, overseeing production of agency newsletter, annual report and three-year strategic plan, representing the Board at various civic and community events, serving as the Board s volunteer coordinator, serving as the Board s Ombudsman in addressing issues with the public and providing oversight of various agency processes for the purpose of increasing community education and involvement in Board programs and services.
