Will set-up records of patient information into computer by performing the following duties: will answer all incoming calls as the main responder is usually the first contact for referral sources. Makes determination of required action. Takes orders from physician s offices or other referral sources; enters orders & comments into the CIS. Coordinates new patient delivery schedule w/ the service area & notes in CIS. Processes patient information on a series of forms where accuracy & timely processing is most important. Maintains & files patient information on a regular basis. Will verify insurance coverage & advises collections department of required actions about billing. Maintains copy of current patient s files & files on referral sources. Responds to new & current patient s requests. Processes unit dose, renewal reports, & held sales reports by contacting customers, providers, physician s office & reviewing with regional accounting office. Will handle mail & outgoing courier packages for the center including responding to requests for information from internal sources when possible. Must be knowledgeable of existing & new information regarding company equipment & carrier policies. Please Note: Workdays are Monday thru Friday, 1st Shift w/ some overtime on Saturdays. Starting wages are $12 to $14 per hour, 40-50 hours per week, Qualifications: Must possess a HS Diploma w/ a minimum of 1-2 year of previous experience in the home healthcare/medical field as a customer service representative or equivalent position required. Must have a valid driver s license w/ a positive driving record; may be required to obtain a CDL w/ hazmat endorsement (must be able to fill in for the service representative in emergencies & be available for on-call on weekends & evenings. Must have proven human relations skills dealing with referral sources, patients & administrative departments. Must have general office skills such as proficiency in PC programs & data entry, typing, filing & basic math are essential. Must be able to do medium lifting up to 50 lbs. consistently.
