Desired Skills/Duties: Overview The Domestic Relations Division of Common Pleas Court is seeking applicants for the full-time position of Hearing Services Specialist. The distinguishing job characteristics for this position include coordinating the assignment of interpreters and guardians ad litem; maintaining evidence and court files; processing Parent Education Class attendance information; coordinate the transcript request and generation process; and serving as a backup to the Financial Services Coordinator. Primary Responsibilities The following duties are usual for this position. These duties as outlined are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned. Arrives to work punctually each day, Refrains from giving legal advice, Maintains confidentiality of sensitive information, Processes and maintains evidence admitted in hearings, Coordinates the assignment of interpreters and guardians ad litem, Documents the completion of Parent Education Class by court parties, Follows the approved record retention schedule for evidence record destruction, Coordinate transcript requests and generation, Assist Fiscal Services Coordinator with accounting transactions, budget, payroll, and timekeeping. Qualifications and Requirements A qualified applicant has an appropriate combination of education, training, and experience in a court setting or legal environment. A candidate for consideration has earned an associate s degree, bachelor s degree, or commensurate training and experience in office management, fiscal and budget management, human resources, and has three (3) years practical work experience. All applicants shall have excellent spelling, grammatical, typing, communication, and basic computer skills. The starting salary is $30,000 annually. Other This is a nonexempt, unclassified position that reports directly to the Court Administrator. An employee serving in this position is an at will employee. The work schedule is 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday with an unpaid lunch hour. This position is thirty-five (35) hours per week. A benefits package is offered, including medical, dental, vision, retirement plan, life insurance, deferred compensation and sick leave. The starting salary is $30,000 annually.
