With approximately 6,000 global associates and 60+ facilities around the world, we collaborate closely with our customers to deliver innovative products and services GENERAL SUMMARY: The Corporate Marketing Leadership Development Program Internship provides a current undergraduate student, with a focus in marketing, business administration, or a related field, with project opportunities within key areas of marketing. Projects are based in the following key areas: market insights, industry management, product management, sales and marketing communications. During each phase of their assignment they will establish relationships with peers and leaders, learn fundamentals and be provided feedback from the program manager. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: * Gain an understanding of the various PolyOne businesses from a financial, operational, and strategic standpoint. This position is intended to be a stepping stone for future marketing roles within the organization. * Provide market intelligence on the trends, customers, competitors and other factors affecting the marketplace to support management decision making. * Prepare market analysis of PolyOne businesses versus the competition to determine the company's strengths and weaknesses and contribute to the development of sales and marketing strategies. * Assist with conducting "Voice of Customer" interviews to understand unmet needs of the market and compile market segmentation. * Analyze data to support key marketing metrics to facilitate performance improvements. * Participate in PolyOne marketing communications activities including: digital marketing, social media, collateral development, sales tools, promotion and tradeshows. * Collaborate in cross-functional project teams across business units. * Interact with Senior Management, build relationships with other employees across the globe and make a different in PolyOne's future success. REQUIREMENTS: * Currently pursuing a BA/BS degree with emphasis in Marketing, Business Administration or related field. * Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to acquire, assimilate, and analyze data from multiple data sources using a variety of business intelligence and reporting tools. * Experience with conducting secondary market research and market analysis preferred. * Relevant internship experience is preferred. * Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines, as well as take initiative. * Team player with strong project coordination and organization skills required. * Strong oral and written communication skills required. * Computer Skills: Proficiency with MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel required.
