Customer Services Technician I

Desired Skills/Duties: Salary: $16.67 - $21.74/hour Hours of Work: M-F, 40 hours per week Work Location: LeSourdsville Water Reclamation Facility Essential Functions: Meter reading, 70% of the time Conducts on-site readings of residential, commercial, and industrial meters; collects data and submits to the administrative office; reports potential problems relating to meters, MXUs, meter settings, leaks, etc. to supervisor; records meter locations; and identifies routing problems. Field service, 25% of the time Disconnects and restores water service; installs meters, electronic communications hardware, and monitoring devices; provides customer service; repairs and replaces meters; and tests and troubleshoots equipment. Other Duties as Required, 5% of the time Required Qualifications: Must have a valid Ohio driver s license. Must have a high school diploma or the equivalent thereof. Must be able to work alone and with others in assigned duties with minimal supervision and have knowledge of customer service. Must have the ability to collect and record data accurately and operate a handheld meter reading device Must be able to attend work daily. The Customer Service Technician I works primarily outside in all weather conditions. Stooping and bending to read meters is a regular occurrence on the job. Must be able to operate a handheld data collection computer. Must be able to defend oneself from angry dogs.
