By focusing on the integration of technology with Teaching and Learning, as well as Operations, the Technology Department is dedicated to being a partner in the District's vision that All Lakota Students Will Achieve to Their Fullest Potential. MINIMUM EDUCATION: High School Diploma or equivalent required. Associates degree or certification in administrative support preferred. EXPERIENCE: Minimum of two (2) years experience and/or training as a computer repair technician dealing with computers, printers, computing peripherals, and software preferred. Working knowledge of computing hardware and software implementation, support and repair techniques. Strong focus on user support. RESPONSIBILITES: Ability to work independently, prioritize work load, and complete assignments in a timely manner Maintains a positive attitude and works as a cooperative team member Demonstrates excellent written and verbal communication skills Performs maintenance on computer systems and peripheral hardware as directed Performs hardware and software support duties including, but not limited to, research on new hardware devices, review of situational computing requirements with district staff, deployment of new equipment, field service of computing hardware, maintenance of district software image, and retirement of obsolete computing hardware Maintains a current inventory of district equipment and supplies in prescribed database including required district inventory tracking forms and processes Maintains a database log of all computer support and maintenance Reports assignment and project progress on daily/weekly basis as directed Communicates effectively with peers, technology managers, and staff Assists in user training on district software and provides software research and support for the district Able to respond to issues/concerns in a respectful, tactful and courteous manner Manages the flow of all tasks to ensure timely completion and efficient operation Other duties as assigned by supervisor or designee EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS: Work is performed in a school/office environment Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Bending, Lifting, Twisting and repetitive motion required Must maintain strict confidentiality Valid driver s license required
