Desired Skills/Duties: POSITION: FCFC Secretary GENERAL DESCRIPTION: To provide general secretarial duties in support of the Family & Children First Council Director. There will be a strong emphasis on communication strategies (Facebook, Constant Contact, mailings, etc.) with families and professionals, as well as support of fiscal processes. QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma required, additional training desirable Able to handle departmental information in a confidential manner Clerical experience required Demonstrated typing proficiency Demonstrated computer usage skills including Google, Excel and Word Demonstrated excellent written and verbal skills Outstanding organizational and time management skills Capable of working with minimal supervision Able to perform multiple tasks simultaneously Must pass criminal background checks, and be free from communicable diseases. Professional appearance ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Maintains a positive attitude and works as a cooperative team member Requests purchase orders, completes budget reconciliation, and pays invoices Coordinates room reservations, childcare and food for events Operates all necessary office equipment as needed Organizes Council meetings and completes meeting minutes Updates website with current content Provide all necessary support for events including creation of marketing materials, registration documents, invoices; coordination of catering and logistics as needed Provide support to FCFC programs and initiatives as needed Performs other duties as assigned OTHER DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS: To serve as a role model for students in how to conduct themselves as citizens and as responsible, intelligent human beings. To help instill in the students the belief in and practice of ethical principles and democratic values. TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Salary and work year as established by the Governing Board. The employee shall remain free of any alcohol or nonprescribed controlled substance use in the workplace throughout his/her employment in the District. EVALUATION: Performance of this position will be evaluated in accordance with the provisions of the Board's policy on Evaluation of Support Staff. STARTING DATE: As soon as possible SALARY: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour BENEFITS: Excellent benefits for all full time employees WORK YEAR: As Needed DEADLINE: Until filled
