Desired Skills/Duties: Your responsibilities Develops, executes and manages company-wide learning and development initiatives, ranging from broad multi-month assignments to short-term, quick projects to include but not limited to: production training, on-boarding and in-boarding classes, front-line leadership and leadership development programs, etc. Identifies learning and development needs within the organization through needs assessment and regular consultation with management and HR colleagues. Develops training plans that enhance the effectiveness of employee performance and are in alignment with business strategy and goals. Manages the design and delivery of a wide variety of technical and professional training initiatives using proven sources of content, best practices in training design and diverse delivery methods to address skills and development for employees within all areas of the company. Delivers content in a meaningful and engaging way to maximize learning and application. Identifies appropriate external learning partners and manages vendor relationships, as needed to support learning plans. Leads the development, implementation and delivery of leadership development programs for management team members including conceptualization, design, and content creation for all learning solutions (courses, workshops, e-learning, assessments, and other development forums), including a mix of in-house and third-party solutions. Facilitates feedback and gains buy-in on new and enhanced tools, programs, and processes, working closely with both business partners and internal customers when appropriate. Recruits, hires, trains and develops staff. Provides direction to and development of employees through daily coaching, the administration of performance management and the creation and implementation of development plans. Maintains current knowledge of advances in training & development and applies leading-edge methods and practices to improve company programs. Manages and maintains new employee orientation (Progressive Advanced Skills & Safety (PASS)) along with other activities that support the onboarding and in-boarding processes, working with other departments involved in the process. Develops and authors training materials including trainers notes, handouts, workbooks and presentations for the training team as well as for other internal subject matter experts. Responsible for developing and managing an annual learning & development budget, forecasts costs and delegates numbers as required by organizational planning and budgeting systems. Assesses instructional effectiveness and produces summary evaluation reports to determine the impact of training on employee skills. Compiles monthly reports for the Manager HR relating to the progress/metrics regarding learning and development initiatives and deliverables. Conducts follow-up studies of all completed training to evaluate and measure effectiveness and results. Evaluates learning to determine gains in knowledge and skills, application and transfer, and overall impact/ROI. Creates and delivers train-the-trainer learning sessions as appropriate for both experienced trainers and leaders-as-teachers. Serves as a role model for excellent instructional facilitation and develop those capabilities in others. Develops and implements effective internal marketing campaign to ensure employees are aware of training and development resources and programs and know how best to utilize. Your profile Bachelor's degree in Organizational Development, Human Resources, Industrial/Organizational psychology, or related business degree. Demonstrated experience in instructional design and training experience in a manufacturing environment developing consultative solutions with measurable results and positive impact for both an hourly and salaried population.
