Desired Skills/Duties: Salary $60-80K Full-Time The Manufacturing Engineer will continuously improve the safety, quality, and efficiency of the hot-melt coating manufacturing processes in order to meet or exceed customer expectations. Responsible for leadership and to ensure priorities and performance are aligned with the company s strategic direction. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Assess and analyze current manufacturing processes looking to improve quality and reduce waste Assist in creation of new products, work processes, and any other manufacturing needs Develop and draft a plan for all manufacturing procedures Devise and implement cost saving measures Develop and implement efficient quality control processes Develop validation protocols for major processes and equipment Design and fabricate new tools, machines, equipment, etc. Frequently test all equipment for safety and effectiveness Repair or redesign malfunctioning equipment Direct and oversee the full lifecycle of a product s manufacturing process, including design, construction, packaging and quality control Educate, train, and supervise new employees on current manufacturing and workflow processes REQUIREMENTS B.S. in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering or closely related field. Experience - Level I: 0 4 years, Level 2: 3 7 years, Level 3: 5+ years, Level 4: 8+ years Knowledge of hot melt adhesives application, gravure coating / printing processes, or working with high viscosity fluids is desired. Strong technical and mechanical skills including pneumatics, electrical controls, PLC programming. Skilled with electronic and information systems including network communications, vision systems, and other data collection systems. Skilled communicator with strong speaking and technical writing skills. 2D and 3D CAD experience desired (AutoCAD 2D and Solidworks 3D preferred). Knowledge and experience in cGMP; knowledge of QSRs, and ISO 13485 desirable. Skilled in data analysis including manufacturing statistical concepts. Solid Microsoft Office skills and experience in enterprise applications.
