DESCRIPTION Michael Baker International is seeking a Transportation Intern student to support engineers in various tasks related to the design of new road and bridges projects for our Cleveland, OH location. The ideal candidate should have an interest in civil engineering with an eagerness to learn. The individual will learn the profession as duties are performed. The work could be either full or part time, and the duration will be for ~ 1.5 years · Perform simple to moderate calculations; routine analysis; prepare basic reports; assist with data collection, input, verification and manipulation · Assist with technical duties and projects as assigned in the bridge, traffic, highway, and/or geotechnical departments PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS · Soon to be enrolled or currently enrolled or in good academic standing and pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering at an accredited University or College · Minimum 3.0 GPA · High School Diploma or college level engineering courses in Civil Engineering with a focus in Structures (Bridges) or Roadways/Highways · Proficiency with Microsoft Windows and Office; Adobe Acrobat and CADD experience is preferred
