Desired Skills/Duties: Overview The Domestic Relations Division of Common Pleas Court is seeking applicants for a full-time, employee to fill the position of Hearing Support Supervisor. The distinguishing job characteristics for this position include the management of Judicial and Magistrate staff and providing timely service to parties seeking civil protection orders. Primary Responsibilities The following duties are usual for this position. These duties as outlined are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned. Arrives to work punctually each day, Refrains from giving legal advice, Maintains confidentiality of sensitive information, Promotes quality customer service with staff, Oversees the performance and work product of seven staff members, Provides adequate training and personnel coverage of immediate staff, Assures that all court policies are carried out on a daily basis, Facilitates staff meetings with immediate staff on a regular basis, Monitors and assists in the processing of petitions for civil protection orders and final domestic violence orders, Effectively communicates and interacts with other county agencies. Qualifications and Requirements A qualified applicant has an appropriate combination of education, training, and experience in a court setting or legal environment. Specifically, a candidate for consideration has earned a bachelor s degree in social work, court management, or a related field and has at least one (1) year of practical staff supervision experience. All applicants shall have excellent spelling, grammatical, typing, and communication skills, basic computer skills, and acceptable criminal and traffic background checks. Additionally, a suitable applicant must be detail oriented, able to multi-task, and cross-train staff. Other This is an exempt, unclassified position that reports directly to the Court Administrator. An individual serving in this position is an at will employee. The work schedule is 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday with an unpaid lunch hour. This position is thirty-five (35) hours per week. A benefits package is offered, including medical, dental, vision, retirement plan, life insurance, deferred compensation and sick leave. The starting pay for this position is $38,250.00 annually.
