Desired Skills/Duties: NUTRITION SERVICES FULL TIME / SECOND SHIFT / 80 HOURS PER PAY The cook s responsible for assigned activities required for the preparation of high quality food for patients, family member, and/or visitors. The job responsibilities include food preparation, service, sanitation duties, knowledge of therapeutic diets, and communicating with the call center and clinical staff. Tasks must be completed in a timely manner and meet all food safety and quality requirements. Complies with established policies, procedures, and standards in compliance with JCAHO, Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP), Health Department and regulatory agencies regarding quality, customer satisfaction, positive work environment and financial stewardship. Displays prompt and courteous services to customers and is able to communicate effectively with all levels of staff within the organization. Exercises independent judgment under supervision and is involved in planning, developing, monitoring and implementing processes. Responsible for assigned food production activities required for the service of high quality food for any area of Nutrition Service. Job duties will include food preparation, service and transportation of supplies and sanitation. Must meet the deadlines and job requirements during regularly scheduled hours. Acts as a role model, coach, leader and resource for food service employees. Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent Licensure: Not Required Certification: Serve Safe Certified Preferred Experience: Minimum 2 years Food Service Experience as a Cook Preferred Skills/Other: Efficient reading, mathematical & interpersonal skills as well as effective verbal, written communication.
