Desired Skills/Duties: SUMMARY: The Operations Supervisor has supervisory authority over the bus operators, dispatchers and cleaning positions. This position is responsible for the bus operations, scheduling, safety, customer service and the equipment in service on all service days. This position will assume the duties of the Fixed Route Operations and the Mobility UpLift operations on an as-needed basis and when performing duties in the office, act as Street Supervisors when assigned to driving and will report any concerns or complaints to the Operations Director, be responsible for back-up to any Driver when needed, and fill the Position of Maintenance Manager when absent. JOB FUNCTIONS: Supervise all bus operators (including disciplinary requirements, counseling, fit for duty assurance). Maintain bus operators time and attendance records including tracking of vacation days and personal days used by each employee, and driver Scheduling and run pick procedures. Monitoring the dispatcher office and answer questions from passengers. Manually account for the mileage & fuel usage on the vehicles and revenues and the passenger ridership. Input mileage, fuel usage, revenues and passenger counts in the computer. Recruit, interview, hire and train for bus operators, and monitor all driver training/certification requirements. Investigate all reported accidents and incidents and report to our insurance carrier and director. Assist in planning for service changes, improvement of operations, safety concerns, and management efficiency. Assist in Procurement procedures for capital purchases (bus, fare box, cameras, etc.). Responsible for Lottery Sales and Reconciliation, pull lottery cash from machine, cash winning tickets and reconcile drawer. Monitor Street Supervisor Duties. Safety meetings training and agenda. Complete survey trip sheets for NTD reporting purposes. Assistant RTA representative for RTA Substance Abuse Program (including receiving screening information on employees, notifying employees of a random test to be taken, and contact with the MRO for testing purposes). All other duties assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum of one year s supervisory experience. A reliable car for emergency situations with our service. Minimum education of a high school diploma. Valid Ohio CDL Class B with airbrakes/passenger license.
