Under the general supervision of the Laboratory Manager, the Medical Laboratory Technician performs all laboratory procedures in a prompt, accurate, and reliable manner according to established clinic, hospital and departmental policies and procedures. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: An Associates Degree from an accredited approved school of medical laboratory science or a medical technologists certificate from any of the following institutions: American Medical Technologists (AMT), International Society for Clinical Laboratory Technology (ISCLT) American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) American Society of Medical Technology Successful completion of the Health, Education and Welfare (Now HHS) or NCA proficiency exam will also be accepted in lieu of the above certificate(s). No Experience required with previously listed credentials. Experience will not be substituted for formal training to be classified as a Medical Technologist.
